The painting title connects with the exposure of the figure under harsh lighting, almost bleaching any identity away leaving no space for withdrawal or privacy within the public gaze. Suspended between two worlds, the connecting ropes cross between lines of control towards protecting support from the enveloping void. This work begins to explore the idea of losing a sense of individuality within a society.
