Blood Lines

Acrylic through syringe onto paper
100 x 50 cms

The blood lines series follows an idea of capturing the transient memories and entanglements of a couple, perhaps through a relationship or fleeting encounter. These figurative lines developed from the four earlier studies and were then overlaid across the page of this larger piece as a series of memories back to these individual moments.

The paint was mixed to match the colour of the paper so as to give importance to the changing nature of the shadows under different lighting. This seemed to connect with the transient idea of something remembered but ever changing with time.
